wpa_supplicant hangs during assosiation

the internal driver only support FullMac Devices, my one ist a SoftMac, 
in other words, i can't put up the interface...

this ist my config placed in /etc/conf.d/net

|modules=("wpa_supplicant")
|wpa_supplicant_wlan0="-Dwext -ddd"
|wpa_timeout_wlan0=60

the ddd parameter gives me initial infos until the wpa_supplicant enter 
the daemon mode. No one of my logfiles gets debug messages from the 
wpa_supplicant daemon.
