prism54 is the fullmac driver and has been in the kernel for a long
time, but _p54_ is the new softmac driver based on mac80211 that's in
2.6.24.  Might be worth trying that one.

In this case, don't run it in daemon mode; turn it off if it's a
service, and just try to run it manually as root after startup to get
the debuginfo.
