While I understand the rationale behind the idea, I remember very well 
why I proposed and deployed Freescout. The contact@ address was 
receiving irrelevant mail all the time, and it was impossible to track 
if someone had already responded or not. Freescout helped there, and the 
standard response templates were imo also useful to reduce workload to 
handle responding to irrelevant mail. But I guess we never really gotten 
used to checking Freescout regularly, seeing there are >1000 unassigned 
mails. I'm just not sure if a mailing list is going to make the 
situation better, or worse.

I therefore vote neutral. I would also like to ask, if we create such 
mailing list, to not make it mandatory for all committers to be subscribed.
