Could you try building this branch, just to see if the authgroup
workaround makes the problem go away:

git clone -b authgroup-v1 git://github.com/cernekee/openconnect.git
cd openconnect
./autogen.sh
./configure --with-vpnc-script=/etc/vpnc/vpnc-script
make

If not, the next step might be to post a log with --dump-http-traffic
(and the passwords/cookies manually removed).
