Oh wait, are we mixing up RebelConnect and RebelRemote? I can never
remember which is which. One of them is actually FreeS/WAN, which
implements an ipsec VPN... there is no "client" for this one, rather it
talks to any other ipsec device. It can be used to setup a VPN tunnel
between two netwinders, or one netwinder + another machine running
ipsec. As the name implies, FreeS/WAN is open-source software.

The other VPN package is a client-to-server package from a 3rd party
that was bundled with the netwinder. This is the one with the license
files etc. Its commercial software, and the license was between
Rebel.com and the vendor of the VPN software. We (netwinder.org)
therefore have no legal way to distribute or support this VPN
software... so we try to stay out of this murky water.

If you are just looking for a simple way to connect securely to your
netwinder, I would suggest looking at SSH (Secure Shell). It can be
used to remotely adminster the machine, or to connect (via port
forwarding) to machines behind the netwinder.
