Yes, i guess so, but you also made some major progress and there is even
some 3d accleration possible with this repo:
https://github.com/anholt/linux/tree/vc4-kms-v3d-rpi2
and some trunk mainline drivers? Would it be worthwhile to integrate this
stuff or do you think this is too bleeding edgy?
Also which is the git tree the patches on this list are against?

Dammit, hit the nail on the head. But to my defense i have to say that the
documentation on this:
https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/configuration/device-tree.md
let me belive that its loaded automatically and i don't have to specifiy it
explicitly. Anyhow i am really happy to get an solution :-).
