Connect to an AP based on signal strength

Hi,

I am using version 0.5.8 in my wifi device. At the moment, I use the
ssid for an AP connection in the wpa_supplicant.conf. Is it possible
to define parameters in wpa_supplicant.conf to connect an AP based on
signal strength level, rather than ssid? If so, could you please give
an example on how to define the parameters on wpa_supplicant.conf?

For example, in our office there are 10 APs. With a simple scenario,
if I can config the wifi card to connect to a most signal strength AP
in a fixed spot. In a more complicated scenario, I might want to carry
the wifi device walking down from one room to another and let the wifi
device to automatically connecte to a most signal strength AP.
