after firmware upgrade card is still running on linux but is not recognized by windows.

Hallo all,

 

I have a Netgear MA311 Wireless Adapter running in an old pc with HostAP
driver. 

About 2 months ago I did a firmware upgrade to 1.7.6 and upgraded HostAP
driver too.

Yesterday I tried to install this card in a windows pc, windows recognized a
Network Adapter but it was not possible to install any driver.

 

Any idea? How does prism2 driver depend on firmware? Is it possible to
extract firmware from a windows driver?
