Try using channels 1 & 11 instead of 1 & 6.

I've never had a packet loss problem with 64-byte pings when the channels
are 5 apart, but if you're sending lots of data out of two radios in close
proximity, 1-6 isn't quite enough separation. Might be related to your
problem (especially since you have txpower turned up to 10 on both
radios).
