Hi,

I wouldn't like to give away the control of our main git repository to a CDN.

Rather I would propose:

a) change the default feeds.conf and add a different protocol as default. So the
old behavior can be still used, but maybe daily builders are fine with the nightly archive.

My quick and dirty solution would be a nightly tar ball with a detached signature
file (not sure yet if ucert or gpg or a better alternative?).
On `./scripts/feeds update` it checks via http HEAD the last mod against the tar
and downloads it if mod new than local file.

b) I'll take a look at a different service to handle our public git+https://
than gitweb.

Best,
lynxis
