Hello,

I've recently switched to 2.6.15 + udev on my laptop after an upgrade (debian
etch/sid).

Since then, I'm no longer able to use my pcmcia ethernet card.

I have read all the docs at
http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/utils/kernel/pcmcia/pcmcia.html
without finding any solution.
I have also read README and manpages that comes with my distro's packages.
I have everything set up properly (pcmciautils & al).
There is plenty of relevant files in /sys/...
Relevant modules are loaded (pcmcia, yenta_socket, rsrc_nonstatic,
firmware_class, pcmcia_core)

I'm in the case of the missing resource database, I copied the previous one
http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/utils/kernel/pcmcia/howto.html#utils
and normally it should be ok (but I'm not 100% sure, normally dpkg should not
have overwritten it silently).

lspci shows the ethernet card properly identified (RTL-8139 via yenta_socket).
When I remove it, the system notice it, when I put it back it restores it.

But "ifup eth0" always end up with error like
	SIOCSIFADDR: No such device
eth0: ERROR while getting interface flags: No such device

Any idea of what should I test, what could I do next and what do I missed?

(sorry, I'm not provide copy/paste of stuff but the laptop is currently off
the net... I had the very dumb idea to remove previous kernels without
testing further).
