I run /sbin/pcmcia-socket-startup - available_resources_io 
shows that I _haven't_ excluded the ports I excluded in 
/etc/pcmcia/config.opts. (The card doesn't work either).

my syntax is

exclude port 0x2e8-0x2ef

I didn't really know what I was doing when I went from 2.4 
to 2.6, so I don't know that I have everything installed 
corectly.
