Actually, this is something I intend to target in a "b16" patchset:
exporting a lot of useful stuff to sysfs; and accepting some sort of input
from there, too -- CIS overrides, insert/eject/suspend/resume ...

No, that's the power state the socket itself is put to when the device
driver is removed...
