cross-compile for mips

Hi Guys,

I am trying to use the libnl for my mip32 project, but not sure how to compile a shared library  for this architecture(mips32), I used  /configure CC=mips-linux-gcc  --host=mips. Command to do the configuration, but seems something still missing, I could not get .so lib.

Make ends with :
Make[1]: Nothing to be done for 'all-am'.

Appreciate your help.
