libertas_cs grinds my machine to a halt

I would say that you should enable lots of debugging to find
out what happens. 

I'd say remove the card, "modprobe libertas_cs", "echo 0xffffffff 
>/sys/module/libertas/parameters/libertas_debug", insert card 
and see what happens.


Also, you can try to libertas source from the wireless-2.6 git 
tree, branch everything. See
