hostapd-1-rc3: Wireless lags and unstable connection

Loaded clean Ubuntu Desktop 11.10 via PXE on same notebook. The test shows ping from 2ms to 10ms and again there was few spikes total of 200ms each 1 minute 10 seconds. I have also checked my crontab - there is nothing that can execute each minute.
After that I have installed latest Intel PROSet drivers and noticed that average ping dropped from 3-5ms to 1-4ms, but those spikes each 1m 10s still present.
I have a question to all: does anyone else experiencing such problem?
As I remember there was some problems a time ago with hostapd (EAPOL timeout) and Intel cards. It is possible, that there is some unresolved "tail" left with them? Because my HTC Incredible S (that doesn't have any Intel wi-fi) does not show any ping spikes.
