Please don't top-post.  If you are quoting some text from the original 
message, please post your reply under it.  I see that you quoted my 
suggestion about running "file wpa_supplicant", but I don't see the 
output of that command.  Perhaps my message was outside your field of 
view when you wrote your reply.

By the way, you may want to run "file wpa_supplicant" both on the build 
host and on the system where you are trying to run it.
