I confirm that the latest Fedora 11 kernel (2.6.30.5-43.fc11 currently
in updates-testing) doesn't have AP mode support in ath5k.
kernel-2.6.31-0.125.4.2.rc5.git2.fc12 from rawhide does support it.

Speaking of the official kernel releases, 2.6.31 was the first kernel to
support the AP mode in ath5k.
