I don't know about the zydas driver, but in my case (madwifi-ng) it
helped to enabled the driver-specific debug options with athdebug and
80211debug. If there aren't any, you might want to temporarily insert
some debug printk()'s in the drivers' ioctl-handling code, to see what's
going on exactly.
