Hey all
I have a SC1100 development board with two radios fitted.
One is prism based the other atheros (5212) based. Both of which Im
confguring to be access points (Master mode).
I have a couple of questions which I hope you can answer.
I am using the 2.4.26 kernel and a CVS snapshot of hostap-driver hostapd
and madwifi all taken on 16/11/04.
Im not sure if this is a madwifi or a hostap related this is my first
port of call. So apologies if you think it should be on the madwifi
list.

Q1/ I have configured hostapd with the .config file for compilation of
the MADWIFI_DRIVER. Which are the correct modules that hostapd requires.
I have not changed anything in the madwifi driver (is this correct),
this is used as is. I have the wlan_xauth module loaded, Is this the
correct module)s_ that hostapd should be using??

Q2/ When starting hostapd a WEP key is generated successfully. However
the current transmit key when using iwlist ath0 key does not change.
Configuration file: /rw/etc/hostapd.ath0.conf

          Current Transmit Key: [1]
          Security mode:open
Tx Key [1] is used which is set to off ?????

The bahaviour for the prism chipset is as follows which I believe to be
correct.
Configuration file: /rw/etc/hostapd.wlan0.conf
Opening raw packet socket for ifindex 8
Using interface wlan0ap with hwaddr 00:20:e0:d0:2a:e5 and ssid

                [4]: off
          Current Transmit Key: [3]
          Security mode:open

Ive noted the warning for wlan0 and wireless extension, but this
interface is working 100% in 802.1x & dynamic keys.
Can someone explain to me what is happening and why??

Regards
	Steve
