Please use a more recent version, like 0.1.3 or 0.2.1.  Compile hostap 
against you currently used kernel and pcmcia-cs.  See variables 
KERNEL_PATH and PCMCIA_PATH in Makefile.  Make sure that PCMCIA support is 
disabled in the kernel.

Maybe you forgot "make clean" to remove old modules.
