hostap w/ 2.4.20rc3 and cyrix chip

I was wondering if anyone had experience running the hostap code on 
cyrix.  Everytime I try and load the module or run hostapd I get 
"undefined symbol" and "_mmx_memcp" errors.

I am running the cyrix chip in a shuttle atx (small form factor) with a 
prism 200mw card in a pci->pcmcia adapter.  It sees the card and I have 
been able to initialize the card with a stock rpm RH kernel.
