I find the way I've been doing things work quite nicely, Web PVR Manager 
does it all for me quite easily and I try and go through it at least 
once a week to keep on top of things.

With the exclusions of programmes and channels I definitely don't want 
to see, what's left is fine to visually scroll through like a TV Guide 
to see what's new for choosing any of the various ways to record from.

Thank you so much for going through this all with me. I will experiment 
away with the various things you talk about.
