Problems on a fedora box?

Hi All

I recall having this problem before, but have no idea how it was fixed 
in the end.

I'm trying to run get_iplayer in a fedora box, but I get this:

ERROR: get_iplayer is not writable - aborting update (maybe a package 
manager was used to install get_iplayer?)

Even when I try to run as root. How do I fix this?
