Are there problems building Qt v4.1 on Netwinder?

As Ralph suggested, you should update your toolchain first.

Here:
Linux 2.4.27 armv4l GNU/Linux
gcc (GCC) 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-13)

Personally, I haven't tried kernel 2.6.x, but 2.4.19 and later are quite
stable on the NetWinder.
