Does your pd6729 use isa or pci irq? How is the pd6729.ko loaded with irq_mode=0
parameter or without? Any difference with irq_mode=0 or irq_mode=1 ?

pd6729.ko parm: irq_mode:interrupt delivery mode. 0=ISA, 1=PCI. default is 1 (int)
