PCMCIA/CF card detection failure

I wrote earlier that I was unable to get a Pico E12 to properly
detect under linux 2.6.22
the insertion and removal of the card was detected, but the CIS data
on the card was not
read and because of this the card could nto be matched against a driver.
And that the card works correctly under Windows.

I have an update on the problem and a workarround.
The Pico E12 is a CF card and the CF interface is implimented in a
Xilinx FPGA.
apparently some timing changes to the FPGA firmware result in the
card being
    properly detected by Linux.
I am not up to speed on FPGA firmware at this time so I can not do more.
Once I know what I am doing and have more free time I will try to
look into this further,
as I should think that Linux should detect the card if windows does.
