CF problem with sony vaio pcg-691L

I google a buch this weekend for issue like this but nothing that
really seemed to help.
Also today in the 2.6.16 change log I saw serveral things about CF
devices so I tried 2.6.16 and got the same behavior.

I've tried excluding the IRQ but it fails on 3 and 4 as well as 7. 
The device dosen't have serial ports so these IRQs are open.

How would I go about changeing the IO address that is assignd to the
ide interface?  I tried exlcluding the range that was chosen but it
dosen't seem to change.
