The same problem was here on gentoo linux pentium IV (kernel 2.6.13 2.6.14 and   
2.6.15, both gentoo-patched and vanilla, pcmcia-cs or pcmciautils and   
pcmcia-cs-cis).   
Howewer i'm happy to announce that with kernel 2.6.16-rc4 the problem was fixed  
and the linux driver performs better then xxxdows and flyes over 40 Kbytes/s  
without stalling.  
I'm just curious to know the new patches in order to apply them to older  
versions couse some other external kernel modules does not compile yet now..
