Cardbus undetected, assign-busses doesn't help

I'm trying to get a Cardbus card to work, it does not show in lspci
(ndiswrapper doesn't see it either :-( ), however it does show in lspci -H1.

The pci=assign-busses didn't help. Any suggestions what to try next?

Regards,

  Rafal Dowgird

My kernel version is 2.6.16.1

My boot options:
 root=/dev/hda1 ro splash acpi=noirq pci=assign-busses
