Modem PC Card on Compaq nx6110: No serial port created

Hi,

I am trying to use a modem pc card (Zoltrix 56K modem) on a Compaq
nx6110. I run ubuntu breezy with a kernel 1.6.16.1 and pcmciautils-013.

When I insert the card, dmesg shows:
kernel: pccard: PCMCIA card inserted into slot 0
kernel: cs: memory probe 0xd0000000-0xd03fffff: excluding
  0xd0000000-0xd003ffff
kernel: pcmcia: registering new device pcmcia0.0

And serial_cs module is inserted. However, there is no ttyS0 registered.
I tried with and without "pci=assign-busses" option to kernel. Same result.

Did I miss something? Any help would be appreciated.
You will find hereafter the traditionnal dumps...

Regards
