You should complain to the authors of this package you are compiling
(Agere, Lucent, Proxim etc). Even if the error messages are reported in
other headers, it happens because those headers are not used properly.

The source may be free, but somebody needs to make the necessary work of
converting the driver to the current Linux. Also, every driver needs a
maintainer. This driver doesn't seem to be maintained.
