hmm..you say 2.6.13-rc7 works while 2.6.13 doesn't?
there are no pcmcia changes in that time. only two PCI changes
that might make a difference:

could you try with both patches unapplied (patch -p1 -R < patchfile)?

if that helps try to figure out which one is responsible for the breakage.

dmesg is not complete. but then lspci and the rest of the dmesg looks
more or less ok.
