Building serial_cs.ko

I am looking to obtain or build serial_cs.ko (I have serial_cs.c). 
I've found instructions how to build serial_cs.o for the 2.4.xx
kernel, however I know the 2.6.xx kernel handles modules differently. 
Can serial_cs still be cross compiled for a 2.6.xx kernel and
installed without having to rebuild the whole kernel like it can be
for the 2.4.xx kernel?

Could someone point me to a link or send me serial_cs.ko for arm linux
or alternatively provide the compiler options need to build
serial_cs.ko from serial_cs.c?
