"unable to apply power" error

At a guess:

and:

PCI: Transparent bridge - 0000:00:1e.0

are in conflict.  It doesn't look at 1e.0 is a "transparent" bridge to
me, and this probably explains why we're not able to talk to the
cardbus bridge properly.
