Howdy,

Found the very recent threads here on the "unable to apply power"
problem under 2.6; need to say "me, too".

I'm trying to configure two Senao 200mW wireless cards, under two Ricoh
PCMCIA->PCI bridges, on Debian Stable. I can't get anything to work,
even under 2.4.

Right now, I'm down to just the one cradle, and I've swapped the
wireless card with a Orinoco that I know works. I'm getting various
errors, though:

 From the dmesg:

Linux Kernel Card Services
   options:  [pci] [cardbus]
PCI: Enabling device 0000:01:04.0 (0000 -> 0002)
PCI: Found IRQ 10 for device 0000:01:04.0
PCI: Sharing IRQ 10 with 0000:00:1d.2
PCI: Sharing IRQ 10 with 0000:00:1f.1
PCI: Sharing IRQ 10 with 0000:00:1f.2
Yenta: CardBus bridge found at 0000:01:04.0 [14ef:0101]
Yenta: ISA IRQ mask 0x0000, PCI irq 10
Socket status: 30000410
cs: pcmcia_socket0: unable to apply power.

In my syslog, I get other errors following this, such as: "cardmgr[433]:
could not adjust resource: IO ports 0xc00-0xcff: Input/Output error".

And cardctl commands fail:

root at kid[~]# cardctl status
Socket 0:
ioctl(): Input/output error

I've upgraded the pcmcia-cs utilities to the latest, and I'm still
having the same problems.

My lspci:

Is this a known problem? Am I just blundering something stupidly?

More importantly, is there a fix available, even as a patch?

Thanks,

R
