Hi,
I have a requirement where Flash interface unit (FTU) is used to
interface with different types of flash devices (NOR/NAND).
FIU can support a toggle sequence of up to some max toggle commands.
After a sequence of toggle commands are loaded, a trigger command is
used to initiate the toggle sequence. One 16-bit register is used to
store the results if a read command is issued. Note that writes are
always in 16 bits. If flash memory is 8 bits wide, then top 8 bits are
ignored.
Lets say that FTU is connected to one Samsung NAND flash, one Toshiba
NOR flash and one Atmel EEPROM. FTU has a adjustable opening of system
address space which can be mapped to any physical pages in flash or
EEPROM memory.
Can MTD frame work be used to support Flash interface unit driver? If
yes, then what all components needs to be developed and under which
folder.

Thanks,
Vinay
