I am not a git expert but I do not see a problem with RC3 tag.
My view has nothing to do with the the technicality of git, but
rather come from my view of the project.
My idea is that we should not be shy to say that libusbx is to
replace libusb and if we are doing a good job, libusb will be dead
and libusbx will be the de-facto libusb.
In that sense. I believe it is good to keep all the libusb history,
starting from Daniel's good job and Peter did some good job
as well. So the existing contributions and history should be kept.
And I do not see a problem with public github. My view is that
we should announce the project and release asap on the libusb
mailing list to show people that they have an alternative.
