/mnt/ramdisk/test/firmware/builds/generic_imx6/staging_dir/host/lib/libz.a: error adding symbols: Bad value
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status

I looked in Makefile and there is TARGET_CFLAGS += $(FPIC) so it means 
it should already have -fPIC ?
