Hi,

I tested the new backports version with ath9k locally and did not saw
this problem with my device.

Could you activate more debugging in hostapd by changing
CONFIG_WPA_MSG_MIN_PRIORITY to 2 please.

In addition could you post your wireless configuration, with your keys
removed also please and try the normal full hostapd version if you are
able to reproduce it there too.
