Hi,
when I backported those changes, OpenWrt was still on 3.18 or 4.1 for
ar71xx; I had planned to submit these after switching to 4.4, so we could
avoid the huge spi-nor backport, but later forgot about it...
I had also submitted some of our patches upstream, but some discussion
prevented them from being included so far ([1], [2]), and I was too busy to
write an improved version.
