Some broadcom wifi chipsets datasheets are being released free of NDA by 
a company called Cypress that acquired the IoT division of Broadcom.

"data-sheets on the BCM88335 802.11ac, BCM89359 802.11ac, BCM43143 
802.11 b/g/n, CYW20736 Bluetooth, BCM43362, BCM4334, and much more. The 
specifications appear to be fairly thorough and for some of the chips 
include over 100 pages of information. All of this public information 
will hopefully be useful in improving some of the Broadcom wireless 
Linux drivers.

Cypress acquired Broadcom's IoT business this summer for $550 million USD."
