When I upgrade from r5053 keeping the existing configuration, /etc/config/network appears to be converted successfully (the DSL interface changes from nas0 to dsl0 correctly).

I had already reported this issue, but it appears to have been closed, possibly because I was unable to further any tests. Unfortunately I visit only occasionally the location where this router is installed. Right now I downgraded to r5053 which is the latest working firmware.
