A new Flyspray task has been opened. Details are below.
User who did this - Mauro Mozzarelli (ezplanet)
Attached to Project - LEDE Project
Summary - BT Home Hub 5A fails to connect PPPOE over DSL
Task Type - Bug Report
Category - Base system
Status - Unconfirmed
Assigned To -
Operating System - All
Severity - High
Priority - Very Low
Reported Version - Trunk
Due in Version - Undecided
Due Date - Undecided
Details - Supply the following if possible:
- Device problem occurs on BT Home Hub 5A
- Software versions of LEDE release since LEDE r5111 to date, latest tried was r5620. In other words since the conversion of the DSL interface name from nas0 to dsl0
- Steps to reproduce configure the router as follows to connect to Infostrada Italy
I tried both upgrading to the new firmware from the latest working build which is r5053 and configuring the router from scratch after a full configuration reset.
In any case the DSL line appears to connect, however no packets go through and PPPOE does not come up.
The only way to have a working router is to downgrade to r5053. No problem instead using the new firmware with UK providers who have PPPOA.
/etc/config/network extract:
