Also, since both "Sound card support" (CONFIG_SOUND flag) and ALSA ("CONFIG_SND" flag) can be selected as modules, I wonder why we can't just enable the PCM timer in these kernel modules built alongside lede, without modifying the kernel config. I'm not familiar with the technology of kernel modules build in OpenWRT so... I don't actually understand why there are kernel modules in the outer config and there are also modules in kernel config, and I can select here and there, don't really understand how that works. The outer modules do not have any configuration in menuconfig however, unlike kernel modules where I can select sub-components, like with sound->snd->pcm_timer.
