I ended up reverting this as one of my tablets did have lots of icmp packet loss and my ssh sessions die randomly, the other one I had trouble with before seems to be fine with this version though.

What I also noticed is that my 5ghz capable clients (nexus5/7 and samsung s7) are always on 5ghz when using intermediate software queues for ath9k, I assume that these clients had trouble with the 2.4ghz band and switched to 5ghz even though reception is not that good for me at 5ghz.
