I would need better justification for overriding the current hostapd
behavior than just one use case with OpenWRT. I would have no problems
making this a configurable option in hostapd that would allow the
OpenWRT case to be used, though. Better yet, if this can be figured out
automatically without any user configuration, it would be even better.
