Building hosptapd for testing wpa supplicant on linux

Well now it compiles...but Im getting this error when I run it 

Channel not configured (hw_mode/Channel in  hostapd) Could not select
hw_mode and Channel. (-3) 

what is this???

Now I want to run the same test here

But this  time on Linux: when I change the driver interface in the
.config file to CONFIG_DRIVER_TEST I get some compilation errors 

Is there something I'm missing?
