Building hosptapd for testing wpa supplicant on linux

Now I want to run the same test here
http://w1.fi/wpa_supplicant/devel/testing_tools.html

But this  time on Linux: when I change the driver interface in the
.config file to CONFIG_DRIVER_TEST I get some compilation errors 

Is there something I'm missing?
