ioctl[PRISM2_IOCTL_PRISM2_PARAM]: Function not implemented

Hello all, first time posting to the list.

I am having issues getting a "NetGear, Inc. MA111(v1) 802.11b Wireless
[Intersil Prism 3.0]" device working with hostap.  I am using the
prism2_usb driver, firmware: pri=1.1.3, sta=1.8.3 and the hostapd config
file specified inline below.  When I start hostapd with the command
`hostapd -dd /etc/hostapd/hostapd.conf` I get the following failure message:

ioctl[PRISM2_IOCTL_PRISM2_PARAM]: Function not implemented
Could not enable hostapd mode for interface wlan0
hostap driver initialization failed.
wlan0: Unable to setup interface.
rmdir[ctrl_interface]: No such file or directory

Any help would be appreciated.
